A prime consideration for us is what paper is used in the printing of a photograph image. Every type of paper creates a different outcome in the printing process. Therefore, an identical image can look very different across the many paper types. We use ICC Profiles for all the different paper types, which once selected is embedded into the photographic print file. This means that the printed outcome best matches the original photographic onscreen image.

Without this process havoc can break loose with a great deal of disappointment when the image is finally printed. However, we are here to make sure that does not happen and that the printed result will always be first class. In the specification details of any photograph you see the paper type being used.  So here are listed some of our favourite paper types and their various characteristics if you wish to find out more about them.

Explore our current paper types by using the sub navigation menu on your left.

Things have changed somewhat from those red light days in the darkroom, its all become much brighter with WhiteWall

Don’t get faked into thinking what you see onscreen is what will  be finally printed.  However, we calibrate from the original photographic image right through the process for a first class printed result.
