Reculver Towers – Premium Framed Art Prints

Reculver Towers. Premium Framed Art Prints. Colour photograph taken at night of the twin medieval towers of the ruined church of St Mary, Reculver.

About this piece

2016 – Reculver – UK

The twin medieval towers of the ruined church of St Mary are a relatively young 12th Century addition to Reculver.  This site dates as far back to Stone & Bronze Age times and was a major Roman Fort settlement from around 300 AD.

Photographing on this cold December night you can not help but contemplate all that have walked these paths before.  Mine is but a small light in the layer after layer of history that makes up this enigmatic place.
