We have Arrived
When driving into Scotland there is always a point (and there are many), when your round a bend in the road and can say to yourself “we have arrived”, and this is such a moment.
On our 2019 trip to the Western Isles and with The Boarders and Glasgow hours bending us, we make for Loch Fyne and Inveryaray for a short brake in the journey. After sampling the famous Lock Fyne Oysters and the local brew we then take the A819, heading across country toward Lockawe. It was on this road where the Mountains close in to form spectacular Glens, this was where I was compelled to park up and take a walk to compose this shot.
After driving for two days we had truly Arrived! This was the real start to our two week tour of Scotland and the Western Isles, it was like passing through a gate into a magical world for us to discover.
