While exploring the Kent countryside to the south east of Canterbury I came across a enchanting ancient woodland area called Perry Woods. It is full of old Beech Trees of which many have grown into each other creating some wonderful natural sculptures in wood.
I returned three times to Perry Wood in the summer of 2020, and every visit I discovered something new and interesting to photograph. With its undulating and hilly ground, tree roots have become exposed everywhere, forming a sculptural carpet under the dense canopy which all just adds to the magic of the place.
